DEAN SCOFIELD, trumpet
Dean joined the group in 2003 when he first moved to Jackson. At that time he had been playing about seven years with a community orchestra in the greater Boston area after a ten-year sabbatical from performing. Dean is an owner of an investment advisory firm and serves on the board of the Teton Regional Land Trust. He is father to two boys.
AMANDA FLOSBACH, horn
The newest member of the group, Amanda followed her passion for music and the outdoors to Jackson in 2005 to handle marketing for the Grand Teton Music Festival. She now serves as the Development Director of Dancers' Workshop and remains deeply involved in our community, volunteering for food, arts and cultural events and organizations throughout the valley.
AL YOUNG, trombone
Al is a retired music teacher, and her second career took her into horticulture - she presently works at Trail Creek Nursery in Victor. She also conducts the Jackson Hole Chorale, sings in a barbershop quartet, and plays trombone in the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, backpacking, cooking, and, of course, gardening.
RON MAASSEN, tuba
“Captain Ron” to those who know him on the river, Ron Maassen is active in the Jackson music scene, performing regularly with the Jackson Hole Community Band and Jazz Ensemble on trombone.
